Dear Grace Family,
In view of the pending excessive heat advisory, and with the difficulty of being able to determine this evening how soon the heat will arrive on Sunday earlier in the day, we are choosing to err on the side of caution, and to move us indoors tomorrow to worship.
We do understand that 2/3rds of members earlier polled expressed feeling safer outdoors. We intend to be outdoors at least for the remainder of the summer, as long as the weather allows us to do so.
We appreciate your working with us, as we attempt to provide worship as safely as possible.
For those who heard the Governor’s order earlier this week restricting indoor gatherings to less than 25 people in the wake of rising Covid infections, in the news conference both he and Dr. Levine confirmed that these restrictions relate to restaurants, bars and nightclubs, and do not apply to religious institutions. See the link below:
In worship tomorrow, we gather the joys members shared last week into prayers of gratitude to praise and thank God for carrying us this far through a very difficult time. If you are not able to be with us in person, I invite you to pray with us.
God’s richest blessings to you and your family.
Yours in Christ,
Pastor Janet S. Peterman
Interim Pastor
